Earth will Survive

“Earth will Survive, will you?” The earth is 4.5 billion years old. It has been through more than the human species will ever. If we keep polluting it, WE are the ones in true danger of disappearing. Earth will survive, will you?

Royal Society of the Arts (RSA) competition. London, 2008

The concept of ‘Earth will survive. Will you?’ is about looking at the recycling and waste issue from another perspective: from our perspective. Angled through the consequences that mankind will suffer as a species that can extinct itself by over-consuming and polluting the natural resources that it needs for its own survival.

We decided to produce everything in digital formats and re-use all the elements in our design: the letters forming the question are made out of rubbish; the research / sketchbook is handwritten and collected in old envelopes gathered whilst working on this project.

We collected enough material to generate the words in less than a week. The photo-shoot was done on a digital camera and all tests were done on-screen.
