Three is the magic number for 2011

It’s been weeks since my last post thanks to work in the last few months of 2010. It has been a very busy end of the year! Projects have been taking off the ground and some ongoing saw a leap in progress. Canon’s Sound Sculptures & my own Project VAIN: a lot alike.

Today I came across this video of a commercial for Canon’s PIXMA colour printer range, done by creative communications agency Dentsu London. I was shocked and at the same time pleasantly surprised to see exactly the same principles and concept that I used to create my images for my MA Applied Imagination final project “Project VAIN” in 2007 being applied by Dentsu London today. The future of Design: London design 2010?

I managed to go to two of many the things happening at London Design week 2010,  100% Design and Designersblock. Surprisingly, although still pretty big 100% Design felt smaller this year and I was very disappointed that the more experimental and upcoming designers part of it was missing in comparison to the many things we were able to see last year.

Conciencia Visual – pilot delivered

We delivered the pilot phase at the Festival Por el Medio de la Calle (In the Middle of the Street) on 23-26th of June. It materialised as an urban intervention to create crime prevention campaigns by using graffiti and stencil as creative techniques to generate a communication platform for and with Venezuelan youth…
